Jeremy Turner has worked with organisations improving business performance by developing and implementing corporate and organisational structures, board processes, enhanced financial and management reporting, and compliance frameworks. He has extensive experience developing and managing teams to achieve outcomes to meet organisational priorities and outcomes.
Jeremy has led and advised on governance, treasury, financial management and commercial activities for major infrastructure projects. These include the Gold Coast Light Rail Project (Public Private Partnership), the second Brisbane Gateway Bridge and Motorway upgrade project (for a State government owned corporation), and the Port Mann Highway One Upgrade Project (for the Government of British Columbia).
As a financial management and corporate governance specialist he has extensive experience leading reform working with private sector, public sector and not-for-profit entities.
Jeremy has applied corporate governance, organisational management, risk management and finance skills to Board roles including nine years as a Non-Executive Director of a major national sporting organisation where he led the reform of governance processes and constitutional review. He led major reform in the Queensland racing industry working in roles of Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer with the governing body.
Jeremy believes that strong corporate governance and management structures and practices that are well understood and translated by people throughout the business are fundamental to the success of any organisation. He brings a practical approach to improving business performance, underpinned by extensive executive and Board experience.
Jeremy is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Governance Institute of Australia. He is a Director of the Swimming Australia Foundation and a Non-Executive Director and Treasurer of Swimming Queensland. He has a Masters Degree in Business.
